Minimum Qualifications:
Shall have a working knowledge of various safety environmental hazardous material and hazardous waste regulations to ensure that safety and environmental laws are adhered to. Shall have thorough knowledge of 29 CFR 1915 Maritime Industry Standards; and 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards. Shall have working knowledge of the Federal Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA); Navy Safety & Occupational Health program; Environmental Protection Act; Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA); Water Pollution Prevention Act; Naval Inactive Ships Maintenance Office Instructions; and other Federal State & Local regulations and instructions related to environmental and personnel protection. One year of ship maintenance experience or relevant experience. Must have general computer skills and Microsoft Office program skills. Must have a current drivers license and meet the requirements of the companys Vehicle Safety manual.
Must satisfactorily complete the following qualifications/certifications within specified time period per Offer Letter:
Preferred Qualifications:
Twoyears of education related to the hazardous material career field and twoyears of relevant hazardous material experience or relevant experience in the military. OSHA 10hr. and 30 hr. Maritime Card. Trained in sampling and analysis of wastewater per OPNAVINST 5090.1(series).
