As a Senior Backend Engineer you will play a pivotal role in supporting our practice management software that empowers nearly one in four doctors in Germany. We offer doctors the ultimate solution for seamless and secure ehealth management ensuring that efficient practice management is a cornerstone of their everyday work.
Your Contribution:
- Backend Development:Design develop and maintain robust backend systems for our Medical SaaS platform using Java 21 and Kotlin leveraging frameworks like Spring Boot and Spring Batch to ensure high performance and scalability.
- API Design:Architect and implement RESTful APIs that facilitate seamless integration with frontend applications and other services applying best practices to ensure security and reliability.
- Database Management:Utilize your expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases to design efficient data models and optimize query performance for high data throughput.
- Cloud Services and DevOps:Integrate AWS S3 and Elasticsearch for storage and data retrieval while employing Docker and Helm charts to manage deployment processes and ensure a smooth CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with DevOps team.
- Collaboration:Work closely with product management DevOps QA teams and crossfunctional teams to discuss requirements facilitate integration and drive project success.
What You Bring:
- IT Background: Completed Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field providing a solid foundation for your technical expertise.
- Backend Expertise: Proven experience as a backend software engineer with handson expertise in Java and Kotlin particularly within the frameworks of Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
- API and Security Skills: Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs with a strong emphasis on security best practices relevant to healthcare applications.
- Database Proficiency: Indepth knowledge of databases particularly PostgreSQL and various NoSQL platforms along with practical experience in performance tuning and optimization.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an excellent command of English. Proficiency in German is preferred enabling effective collaboration within diverse teams.
