Oklahoma Christian University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in several disciplines and assignments to courses for delivery through various modalities including oncampus and online. Required qualifications vary from department to department but a disciplinerelated masters degree or a combination of education and relevant professional experience are generally required. Candidates with terminal degrees and other specialized training are also highly desired.
Adjunct appointments are parttime (typically one or two courses) and made on a semesterbysemester basis but often result in recurring assignments within a regular course rotation. Adjunct openings frequently occur with short notice so the Oklahoma Christian Human Resources office accepts adjunct applications at all times. This is an oncampus inperson position.
Position: The Political Science Department is seeking a pool of adjuncts able to teach POLS 2113 American Politics. This course is part of the universitys general education requirements.
Primary Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Political Science or adjacent area is required.
- Higher education teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Must demonstrate proficiency with or have experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite email and online learning systems (e.g Blackboard Moodle etc.).
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning lessons developing assignments and activities grading and returning student work and holding classes as scheduled by the University.
- Scheduling office hours.
- Answering emails promptly.
- Administering course evaluations.
