HSHS St Elizabeths Hospital is seeking a Security Officer to join our ministry. Ideal candidates are patient focused mission driven individuals responsible for providing safety and security services to ensure the wellbeing of both people and property by patrolling assigned areas and enforcing rules and regulations. This role responds to all inbuilding emergency requests and alarms providing assistance and coordination.
Position Specifics:
o Schedule: PRN; Days/Evenings/Nights/Weekends; 23 times/week
o Location: OFallon IL

Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma GED or related vocational training is preferred.
- Associate degree in law enforcement Criminal Justice or military service is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
- One year of experience with knowledge of private security functions obtained through education or work experience such as military public safety or fire department is preferred.
Certifications Licenses and Registrations
- Valid state drivers license and must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles is required.
- Successfully complete the Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Certification within the first 90 days of employment is preferred (if utilized at the affiliate).

Pay Range:
$18.00 $25.20
A successful candidates actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience skills training certifications and education.
