Salary package of $71041 (BT1) or $73368 (BT2) including superannuation annual allowance of $12149

What we are looking for:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Plumber/Drainer to join our Water Network team in Hervey Bay. This vacancy arises as part of ongoing service delivery for Wide Bay Water infrastructure. The role offers a supportive team culture that values initiative safety and professionalism.
What your day will look like:
You will install and maintain water supply and sewerage infrastructure respond to emergency situations and provide quality service to the Fraser Coast community. Your responsibilities include pipe installation service connections maintenance and ensuring compliance with relevant plumbing legislation and safety standards.

What youll need for success:
- Certificate III in Plumbing/Draining and a current Occupational or Open Plumber/Drainer Licence
- Experience in water/wastewater construction or maintenance with knowledge of related legislation and standards
- Excellent problemsolving communication and teamwork skills
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence White Card and ability to obtain MR Licence within 3 months
Whats nice to have:
- Confined space first aid asbestos awareness and backflow prevention training
- Computer literacy across MS Office and mobile systems
- A strong safety focus with commitment to Councils values and procedures
