1. Title Child Care Instructor (CCI)
2. Job Goal
Work with the districts preschool child care program to prepare curriculum materials and instructional strategies for early childhood students in the district.
- Qualifications
- High School Diploma Associate or Bachelors Degree in related field
- School based leadership experience
- A minimum of six (6) months of successful child care experience
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to work independently and supervise educational systems
- Demonstrated leadership experience in data driven decisionmaking
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students staff and community
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Evidence of ability to effectively use technology to perform duties
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- Performance Responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood
- Ability to develop rapport with children parents and coworkers
- Strong leadership qualities and skills
- Ability to implementing a highquality age appropriate curriculum to successfully engage children and foster physical emotional cognitive and social development
- Strong group management skills with children
- Prepare implement and carry out instructional activities for assigned students
- Maintain control of the assigned students at all times.
- Exhibit the qualities of a selfstarter as part of an instructional team
- Perform emergency tasks as needed and directed
- Assist in all safety programs drills and evacuation proceedings as required
- Perform all duties and assignments and use materials and operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner using all safety equipment or clothing which might be reasonable to ensure the safety of self fellow employees and students
- Assume responsibility for and secure the district assigned keys which are assigned to you for your job use and safekeeping
- Listen to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and directives and respond with oral and written reports as required
- Maintain good personal cleanliness and dress appropriately for the position
- Practice good public relations techniques with students staff administration and parents demonstrating a cordial and friendly manner
- Practice regular and consistent attendance arriving and departing at the designated times for your position
- Maintain in good condition and store for safekeeping all property supplies and materials of the district
- Assist in keeping the district campuses clean and orderly
- Responsible for monitoring progress of each childs growth and development and record keeping.
- Prepare periodic reports and Individual Development Plans review with supervisor and parents
- Work with parents to promote understanding of their childs growth and development
- Conduct regular communication on each childs school adjustment classroom behavior and developmental progress if applicable.
- Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times.
- Attend meetings district activities and training as assigned
