Opportunity Highlights:
Employment by ECU Health Physicians
Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center a 974bed level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
Academic appointment with East Carolina University at the rank of Assistant Associate or Professor
Established clinical neuroscience team of 10 neurosurgeons including dualtrained cerebrovascular specialists and 20 neurologists including an interventional neurologist 4 vascular neurologists 4 neurointensivists and 13 subspecialty neurologists. The subspecialties include pediatric neurology epilepsy movement disorders headache neuromuscular sleep medicine intraoperative monitoring and neurooncology. There is also a large team of inpatient and outpatient Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
7 on/7 off or 14on/ 14 off schedule with 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights
No call
Inpatient stroke shift is consult only with no admission or discharge responsibilities
Outpatient opportunities available for interested applicants
ACGME neurology residency recently approved and to start in 2025
