Job Description

Position Title:

Postdoc Research Associate Precision Swine

Appointment Type:

Post Doc/Trainee

Job Description:

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this position is to design implement and analyze scientific projects to enhance commercial swine population health & productivity focusing on Precision Swine Health and Productivity Management. The candidate is expected to have documented experience working with swine production and an understanding of disease management biosecurity use of production data and diagnostics. The candidate is expected to visit farms have contact with animals and perform sample collection. The candidate is expected to actively seek grant opportunities in applied veterinary epidemiology and be encouraged to pursue independent research.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in veterinary epidemiology preventive veterinary medicine or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • demonstrated experience in project design and implementation
