Description

Role:Therapeutic Residential Worker

Salary:Up to 28000 per annum

Location:Ryton Tyne & Wear

Contract/Hours:Permanent Fulltime 37hrs per week (Some SleepIns and waking nights will be required)

Interviews: to be held week commencing the 2nd of June 2025

Join our team as a Therapeutic Residential worker and make a meaningful impact in the lives of traumainformed children. In this role youll create a safe and nurturing environment where the children can heal and grow. Youll build trusting relationships facilitate engaging activities. Our traumainformed approach recognises and responds to the impact of trauma on the lives of our young people shaping every aspect of their care.

About the service

Welcome to our brand new 4 bedroomed home in Ryton Tyne and Wear designed as a safe and supportive environment for the children aged 717.

Nestled in a residential area with convenient access to local amenities and excellent travel links including free parking our home offers a true haven. Recently refurbished to the highest standards were building a dedicated team of therapeutic residential workers committed to delivering tailored traumainformedsupport to each child ensuring their individual needs are met and care with care and understanding.

Lets talk about you

Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge We are looking for someone with a can do attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust
  • Application of a range of techniques to coordinate and communicate with service users and their families
  • Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems individually and in a team setting
  • Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role
  • Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us full support will be provided.
