This opportunity is exempt and on Pay Grade #12.The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade.Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.

Experience
Abachelors degree in BusinessMarketing Arts Sports Entertainment Management Theatre or other relevant field of study.
5 years experience plus 2years at a management level managing multiuse arts operations.
Additionaldesirable qualifications include literacy in event scheduling and grant writing best practices.
Musthave a valid Texas Drivers license because essential job functions require travel to various sites within and outside theCity.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
This position must be able to think creatively on the brand building process for a new entertainment venue in a highly competitive market.
Good public speakerwith ability to think on ones feet during public hearingsand communicate with high profile sponsor executives and nonprofit Executives.
Ability to interpret documents write event reports and present information effectively.
Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent customer service and ability to interact with diverse populations.
Skilled in handling public relation issues and conflict resolution.
Supervisory and Organizational Skills:
Effective supervisory skills safety procedures and knowledge of training principles.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept to completion and effectively meet deadlines.
Mathematical and Analytical Skills:
Proficient in basic accounting principles andfinancial management.
Strong analytical skills for problem solving.
Technical and Industry Knowledge:
Proficient in event operations and marketing at a highvolume performing arts center convention centerhoteland/or live entertainment venue.
Experience in developing advertising plans and negotiating adbuying blocks and an understanding of sales and marketing principles and methods involved in showingpromotingand selling services and locations.
Knowledge of complex principles and practices of traditional and emerging marketing strategies and media formats in deploying a new entertainment brand.
Knowledge of communications and media production and dissemination techniques and methods including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written oral and visual media.
Working knowledge of development and grant writing best practices for public and/or fine and performing arts organizations.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite platforms including Photoshop Illustrator InDesign and Adobe Premiere.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Event ManagementSoftwareand basic office equipment.
Experience in photography and basic video production.
