Revolution Brewing your favorite craft beer proudly brewed right here in the Midwest is hiring an Area Sales Rep to share the story of our brewery in Chicagos south suburbs and central/southern Illinois. As our frontline voice youll work with our local distributor and retail partners to get our fresh beers into consumer fists. This may be through landing great spots for our displays making sure our beer is pouring at your local bar or restaurant or talking about our tasty beer at samplings or festivals in the future.
Were hiring for the territory that for us covers the southwest suburbs and central/southern Illinois ideally this person will be based out of Oak Forest/Tinley Park area for easy access to all the distributors in the south suburbs and be able to make a couple of trips a month to Peoria/Champaign. You are required to live in the territory you represent and manage travel around to the various distributor areas. Let us know in your cover letter where youve had success!
Established relationships with local bars restaurants and stores in these areas will be key to creating awareness with these partners and our consumers. Youll be in the market most days safely seeing accounts to drop off merch beer or anything else that will let folks know about our flagship or fun new beers. Planning your days will have you using VIP our sales data system to analyze sales opportunities to get Rev into the publics hands. Following up with your accounts and summing up your wins to the distributor will showcase those great communication skills we know youll have too.
If found on a different site than the base salary for this role is from $plus an annual bonus of 10% paid in January and a quarterly sales bonus tied to KPIs up to $12000year (most reps earn between $23K/quarter). Benefits begin the first day of the month after you start with medical/dental/vision insurances 3 weeks PTO 401(k) with company match and more offered.
Qualifications
- Youll have 25 years working for an alcohol wholesaler or supplier within the Illinois 3tiermarket (preferably beer) with a Bachelors degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Youll be more than proficient pulling data to analyze in Excel to create your own sales plan that works with the quarterly bonusgoals.
- A reliable car is a must as youll travel around all of central & southern IL to different local markets.
- Able to adjust your schedule to work samplings and festivals (so sometimes TuesdaySaturday or a 2pm10pm day). Working nights and weekends is part of beer and youll need to adjust from your typical 95 hours.
- Youll already have experience successfully meeting sales goals prioritizing independent tasks and handling multiple projects for a brewery distributor or other 3tier beverage manufacturer such as a distillery.
- You have to be able to maneuver 35pound cases as well as maneuver and place full kegs as part of the job.
