Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Manufacturing Technician 1 to join our team of qualified diverse individuals in Iuka Mississippi.

The Manufacturing Technician performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations including working with engineers in setup and calibration tasks as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts components subassemblies and final assemblies. They use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct online adjustments to products instruments or equipment. They also determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.

This position can be filled at varying shift times including weekdays nights and weekends. Shift differential paid during eligible shifts.

Responsibilities:

Work with engineers in conducting experiments
Relay and receive information
Work in collaborative team environment
Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions
Ability to wear respirator or other safety gear
Ability to handle and assemble small parts
Able to operate motor vehicles
Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
Must successfully complete and pass the Mississippi State University Drilling and Drafting program within a reasonable time period as defined by the company to meet its business need (prior to starting)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance including Special Program Access within a reasonable period as defined by the company to meet its business needs. Clearance is required to start but not to apply
Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50lbs
Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods
Ability to work any shift depending on business needs
Preferred Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret Clearance
Aircraft experience in a production or testing environment
Experience using hand tools or measuring devices (Drills grinders sanders cutting wheels saws tape measures scales micrometers dial calipers etc.)
Experience working to electronic or paperwork instructions
Ability to read engineering drawings
Salary Range: $33500.00 $55800.00
