Data Center Door Technician

Data Center Door Technician:

The Door Technicians responsibility is to adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. Repair worn damaged or defective mechanical parts. This position will also be responsible for ordering & moving of supplies interpreting blueprints and the documentation of operational activates.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical components or machine parts.
• Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Order materials supplies or equipment.
• Move materials equipment or supplies.
• Document operational activities.
• Repair worn damaged or defective mechanical parts.
• Install hardware or other interior fixtures.
• Gather information about work conditions or locations.
• Assemble structural components.
• Position equipment using hand tools power tools or heavy equipment.
• Move large objects using heavy equipment.
• Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
• Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
• Remove parts or components from equipment.
• Drill holes in parts equipment or materials.
• Fabricate parts or components.
• Run wiring to connect equipment.
• Cut materials according to specifications or needs.
• Interpret blueprints specifications or diagrams to inform installation development or operation activities.
• Install structural foundations.
• Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Clean equipment parts or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 40lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
• Ability to bend stoop kneel and reach for equipment related tasks
• Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
• Good handeye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
• Clear vision with or without correction to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
• Ability to differentiate between colorcoded warning signs labels and cables
• Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme temperatures rain or snow
• Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
• Possession of a valid drivers license for workrelated travel as
