Job Description
At Catapult we are recruiting on behalf of one of our members in their search for a Controller. This is a full time onsite role in the Charlotte NC area.
The EDAC Group a leader in innovative interconnect solutions is seeking a Controller to join our team in Charlotte NC. The ideal Controller is strategic and handson overseeing financial operations ensuring compliance and supporting business growth. Responsibilities:
- Oversee Financial Operations Lead all accounting functions ensuring financial integrity and compliance with GAAP. Supervise and manage daily accounting operations including AP AR payroll and general ledger functions.
- Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting Manage the preparation of financial statements tax filings and external audits. Performs trend and variance analysis to support management decision making.
- Drive Budgeting & Forecasting Work with leadership to develop forecasts monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Optimize Systems & Processes Implement best practices in accounting procedures financial controls and technologydriven improvements.
- Lead & Develop the Finance Team Mentor and grow accounting team fostering collaboration and efficiency. Hands on leader capable of performing all accounting functions.
- Manage IT Support Ensure IT systems are working updated and providing value. Resolve IT issues through the utilization and management of third party providers.
- Support HR Function Support HR function with onboarding benefits and reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
7 years in accounting/finance with 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong Excel proficiency (pivot tables financial modeling) ERP system experience.
Effective communicator with a handson approach to problemsolving and team development.
- Must be located in the Charlotte NC area.
