Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related fields is required. The successful individual is expected to establish an active research program and obtain external funding. Interdisciplinary research is highly desirable in the graduate program and the candidate is expected to participate in existing or new research collaborations.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes through effective collaboration. Active participation in the preparation of scientific abstracts manuscripts and external grant applications. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and a strong work ethic. Postdoctoral research experience is also desirable. Although research focus is not specified and open to any related fields applicants with research/teaching expertise in the areas of neuropharmacology cardiovascular endocrine metabolism oncology immunology or related fields are desirable. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
