Maintain claims standards and provide highquality client service.
Register motor and nonmotor claims for personal and commercial policies.
Appoint assessors and confirm adequate policy cover.
Manage claims from registration to final settlement.
Gather and verify information related to claims from clients and involved parties.
Review completed forms and check against policy cover.
Consult internally to determine claim outcomes and compensation.
Communicate outcomes to clients in writing.
Refer complex claims to specialists such as loss adjusters.
Determine claim merits based on investigations and reports.
Settle claims within authority limits to avoid financial leakage.
Continuously adjust reserves as needed.
Arrange:
Car hire for undrivable or stolen vehicles.
Contractors to assist clients in obtaining necessary documents.
Manage the salvage process through to recovery payments.
Follow up with assessors and loss adjusters as required.
Negotiate claims with clients service providers and insurers.
Maintain detailed and dated notes on claim files.
Escalate potential errors or omissions to the Claims Manager.
Finalise and file claim documentation.
Ensure compliance with operational standards and company procedures.
Perform daily system updates (e.g. diaries and mail).
Handle internal and external complaints promptly.
Ensure timely resolution of queries and complaints.
Provide insurer feedback and reports per timelines.
Facilitate a positive claims experience.
Maintain strong relationships with clients colleagues insurers and service providers.
Update underwriting items postclaim completion.
Maintain records of all client reports.
Deliver quality service and meet functional targets in compliance with policies and standards.
Resolve escalated client complaints and provide feedback.
Align work routines with operational schedules to meet service goals.
Share knowledge and help create new processes to maintain service quality.
Align behavior with organizational values and culture.
Share knowledge of products processes and systems with colleagues.
Work collaboratively with the Claims team to meet service expectations.
Follow company policies and procedures consistently.
Identify and suggest process improvements.
DOFA confirmation from FSB is required.
Familiarity with Cardinal 360 system is advantageous.
Education:
Matric (Grade 12)
Relevant NQF Level 5 qualification
RE5 Examination Level 1
Commercial and Personal Lines Class of Business Certification
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience with a claimsettling mandate
At least 5 years of experience in the shortterm insurance industry
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of the shortterm insurance industry
Familiarity with financial services industry
Adherence to company policies and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
Knowledge of FICA and POPIA regulations
