This position is based in the following office location:
Manchester NHThe opportunity
Southern New Hampshire Universitys traditional campus in Manchester NH is looking for a Parttime Assistant Coach Ice Hockey to work onsite with our mens ice hockey team. The main responsibility of this position is to offer assistance to our athletes and report directly to the Head Mens Ice Hockey Coach.
Work Hours:
We ask that you commit of 10 hours per week for this role. Practices are from 7 AM 9 AM during the week and games will take place on Friday and Saturday.
In this Role Youll Get To:
- Participate in the leading and execution of preseason and season practices. Help monitor conditioning programs
- Provide input as to the evaluation of the athletes performance and progress. Evaluate opponents performance and scouting. Ensure our athletes best during games.
- Help us recruit prospective student athletes
- Participate in planning for events including fund raising or other special functions
- Bring University vans to and from practice games playoffs and coaches meetings
- Demonstrate your knowledge observance and commitment to all rules and regulations of the College NEIO ECAC and NCAA
- Attend all practices and home/away games.
- Additional tasks can be assigned with discussion between the Head Coach Director of Athletics and the Assistant Coach
What were Looking For:
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 years of playing or coaching experience at the high school junior or college hockey level
- Hold a valid drivers license and be eligible to be insured by the universitys auto insurance carrier to drive on campus when needed.
The position governed by the rules and regulations of the NCAA and of Southern New Hampshire University requires working with the Head Coach in all facets of the program. You must develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and pass the NCAA Certification exam.
Per NCAA rule a coach who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures including suspension without pay or termination of employment for significant or repetitive violations.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $14.01 $22.43. Actual offer will be based on skills qualifications experience and internal equity in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $15.49 $20.95.Employment Type
