Job Description

Automotive Collision Repair & Refinishing InstructorPosition Overview:Lewiston Regional Technical Center (LRTC) is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Automotive Collision Repair Instructor to educate and prepare students for careers in the automotive collision repair industry. This instructor will provide handson industryaligned training while fostering student engagement and career : $43350.73 $81769.12 (SY25/26)Lewiston Public Schools offers a robust employee benefits package for fulltime employees including: health insurance with up to 85% of the premium paid by the employer; dental vision life short and longterm disability insurance; flexible spending and dependent care accounts; Maine Public Employee 403(b) and 457 retirement plans; 15 paid sick days per year; tuition reimbursement and more!Responsibilities:Teach aspects of the Automotive Collision Repair & refinishing and basic concepts of the Composites industry including career opportunities and students on industry methods safety equipment and materials covering topics such as:Paint & refinishing techniques (surface prep spray gun use mixing matching application defect correction final detailing).Nonstructural repairs (panel prep body panel adjustments metal finishing plastics adhesives glass & hardware).Integrate workbased learning in lab and assess student learning through assignments exams and handson instructional materials following National and Maine state student records facilitate discussions and stay updated on industry in program advisory meetings school events and professional adherence to IEPs and differentiated instruction institutional policies and collaborate with : Knowledge or experience in duties as assigned by the Director of Career and Technical EducationQualifications:Minimum of five years of successful experience in an automotive collision repairrelated positionAssociates Degree Bachelors Degree & Technical Education Automotive Collision Repair Certificate (808) or ability to obtain Automotive Collision Repair certification through the Maine Department of EducationNational Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications in B2 and B3 with Master Certified Collision Repair Technician LRTC in shaping the next generation of skilled professionals in automotive collision repair/composites!Lewiston Public Schools provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination of any type without regard to race color religion age sex national origin disability status genetics protected veteran status sexual orientation gender identity or expression or any other characteristic protected by federal state or local laws.
