In this role you will:

  • Assess business problems and work as part of a team or with a mentor to develop a technical approach using modeling and simulation to address the issue that considers time constraints resource limitations and any operational issues.

  • Work with internal IT teams vendors and other internal parties to execute solutions.

  • Keep abreast of latest developments in data science analysis: statistical techniques emerging software platforms and data experimental design.

  • Provide protection to technologies processes materials and products through appropriate use of internal technical reports patents and trade secrets.

In one of our technical roles youll focus on winning with consumers and the market while putting safety mutual respect and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role you will need the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelors or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering; or related field from an accredited college or university is required. Advanced degree in Physics Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Aeronautical Engineering or Mathematics strongly preferred.
  • 2 years research experience in a variety of technical assignments with emphasis in the application of modeling and simulation tools in the solving of business and operational issues required.
  • A demonstrated expertise in structural analysis or computational fluid dynamics required.
  • Experience with meshing complex geometries and utilizing computational geometry tools is preferred.
  • Experience in porous media flow in highly porous materials and/or multiphysics is a plus.
  • The ability to use the fundamental physics of systems to define modeling requirements and underlying relationships inherent in a problem. Previous experience or capability to develop subroutines for commercial code (e.g. PDE solvers) is highly preferred.
  • Experience with scripting in R Mathematica Matlab MathCad and/or Python. Experience working on problems in an industrial environment is preferred particularly in the areas of highspeed manufacturing and consumer products is highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

Salary Range:USD

At KimberlyClark pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve thrive and grow. Along with base pay this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as location role skills performance and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
