Supplier Quality Engineer
Tamworth
6Month Contract (Inside IR35)
Overview
EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer located in Tamworth that is currently in the market for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their company on a 6month contracting basis.
This market leader is a wellestablished entity within the precision engineering industry and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safetycritical highly complex components through various manufacturing processes including machining and assembly.
Your responsibilities as a Supplier Quality Engineer will include:
Collaborate on new projects to validate suppliers and drive continuous improvement using APQP/PPAP
Ensure supplier products and processes meet specifications resolve quality issues and manage nonconformances
Conduct supplier audits drive development activities and monitor performance
Manage supplier returns and conduct internal quality/environmental system audits

Hours: Days (MonFri 39 hours early finish on Fridays)
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or similar role within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 business supplying directly to Automotive OEMs
- Die or Aluminium Casting experience
A strong working knowledge of established Quality tools is required including Control Plans Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) 8D problemsolving methodology and Quality Operating System Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Comprehensive understanding and practical application of the five core Quality Tools:
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Youll have a strong track record of developing our suppliers conducting thorough audits and effectively resolving any concerns that may arise
Certification as an IATF 16949 Internal Quality Auditor; certification as a 2nd party lead auditor is highly desirable
