Aimed at highly motivated and ambitious individuals eager to be a part of a world leader within the aerospace and defence industry. This scheme is geared towards supporting the career development of apprentices who wish to play an instrumental role in the manufacturing of the next generation of civil and military aircraft.
The role is based at our Collins Aerospace Composite Center of Excellence facility in Banbury UK formerly the Crompton Technology Group (CTG) designs qualifies and manufactures highperformance structural and nonstructural aerospace composite products for military and commercial applications.
We are looking to recruit a small number of high calibre degree apprentices who can support Actuation Systems with the effective planning and execution of Manufacturing Engineering activities. We believe in the power of intelligence and partnership to guide us into the next era of flight making the skies and spaces we touch smarter and safer than ever.

A Manufacturing Engineer (ME) within the Collins business leads from the front living and driving our core values of Engaged Empowered and Accountable always.
As an ME you are accountable for all aspects of project performance ensuring that the needs of the business and our diverse customer base are met across key facets such as Schedule Cost Quality & Scope to name but a few. Alongside the projectbased initiatives you will also provide day to day support to Operations helping to ensure that safety quality and output targets are met for a given area of the Wolverhampton facility.
A successful Collins ME is selfmotivated with excellent time management and organisation skills. They will also be an expert communicator and can solve the toughest of challenges all while placing the customer at the centre of everything they do.

The degree apprenticeship programme lasts for a period of 5 years and is a partnership between Collins Aerospace and University of Warwick. You will learn key engineering principles at University of Warwick which will be vital to your development at Collins Aerospace such as:
Materials & Manufacturing Processes
Computer Aided Design
Industrial Engineering
Project management
Engineering Systems
Digital Engineering Lifecycle
By the end of the programme having completed your rotations and degree apprenticeship you will be awarded a BEng in Applied Professional Engineering.
What are we looking for
We are looking for the best individuals who have the following attributes:
Minimum of 3 A Levels at BBB or above including a Mathematics based subject and a STEM/engineering subject or equivalent BTECs (Physics recommended)
Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including Mathematics English and a science.
Be a UK resident living in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
Good analytical skills and problem solving
Good personal management and selforganisation skills
Effective communicator written and verbal

Application Process
Your application will go through a variety of selection methods and is likely to conclude at an assessment centre. Please note that as we find suitable candidates to fill our opportunities we will no longer accept applications for that opportunity so suggest you apply as early as possible to have the best chance of success.
Apprenticeship will start with the business in August 2025.
You must be eligible to work in the UK and there may be a requirement for you to work on military related projects for which there will be a requirement for security vetting.
