JOB SUMMARYSizer School a North Central Charter Essential School is seeking a Digital Literacy and ComputerScience Teacher to join our educational team. This teacher is responsible for teaching Technology Iand II classes guided by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks as well as classes in Digital candidate will bring a passion for implementing best instructional practices and a commitment tofurther promote an already existing positive collaborative teaching and learning environment. Onlythose candidates with a deep passion for the Sizer School mission and ready to teach in and be apart of an exemplary innovative public middle/high school need RESPONSIBILITIES Teaches Technology I and Technology II classes guided by the Massachusetts CurriculumFrameworks; teaches Digital Art classes or technology electives; Promotes the learning and growth of all students by providing highquality instruction andencouraging students to think independently and to express original ideas; Designs units of instruction with measurable outcomes and challenging tasks; Demonstrates instructional practices that reflect cultural proficiency as well as creates a safeand effective classroom environment; Adapts instruction materials and assessments to make challenging material accessible to allstudents including English learners and students with disabilities; Designs learning experiences that are informed by data and address prioritized standards; Reflects on the effectiveness of lessons units and interactions with students both individuallyand with colleagues and uses insights gained to improve practice and student learning; Communicates with parents and school counselors on student progress; Administers formative and summative assessments in alignment with gradelevel needs; and Participates in schoolwide and subject specific professional development and grade levelteam collaborative SCHOOL MISSIONSizer is a public school where students are known personally challenged intellectually andparticipate actively.
