Successful candidates: - Completed an accredited CT education program.
- Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT; maintains compliance with ARRT continuing education requirements
- CPR/BLS Certification.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment plan ahead show initiative possess excellent communication skills and work effectively on a team.
Responsibilities: - Prepares and operates CT equipment per physician instructions and positions patients to capture appropriate images. Provides coverage for GE 64 slice Computed Tomography scanner.
- Administers IVs and contrast media as directed and per protocol.
- Provides for the psychological and physical needs of patients for CT scans.
- Scans all patient age ranges including pediatrics.
- Follows proper safety procedures regarding radiation.
- Understands and uses the PACS system.
- Maintains related information in patient EHR/EPM (Nextgen) charts with proper coding.
- Orients new technologists.
- Complies with all our processes and HIPAA regulations.
- Applies our values in decisionmaking and interactions with all individuals.
- Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned by changing needs patient flow or physician request.
