Job Description
The Department of Family Medicine is one of 11 clinical departments at East Carolina Universitys Brody School of Medicine. The Department of Family Medicine at ECU is a nationally recognized leader in Family Medicine education. Located in a 120000 sq. ft. facility the department provides a wide variety of comprehensive primary care services for all age groups to include: geriatrics sports medicine obstetrical care officebased procedures nutrition services counseling and psychological support in an integrated care model.

Outpatient clinical responsibilities with an option to do Inpatient
Monday Friday work week
Patient care activities which may include direct patient care to an assigned panel of patients and patients of other providers and precepting residents
Hospital patient care will include bedside teaching of residents medical and PA students
Medical Student teaching responsibilities may include didactic teaching one or two afternoons per week in the Foundations of Doctoring or other courses
Strong emphasis on teaching mentoring advising supervision of residents medical students and other learners
Opportunities to develop administrative and scholarship skills
Required: ACLS & BCLS certifications
