The Opportunity

We are looking for a Risk and Compliance Analyst II with experience in Physical Security Corporate Investigations or Identity and Access Management (IAM). This role will provide independent oversight within a risk and compliance framework ensuring that operations meet regulatory requirements and USAAs policies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to challenge and support business initiatives. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial services or insurance industry or technical fields is required for this position. Military affiliation through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner encouraged to apply.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio TX Plano TX Phoenix AZ Colorado Springs CO Charlotte NC Chesapeake VA or Tampa FL.

What youll do:

• Partners with key customers in the business to identify assess aggregate and detail operational and compliance risks and controls including operational and compliance risks associated with new or modified products services distribution channels laws regulations and thirdparty operations applying maturing knowledge.
• Applies maturing knowledge of the business its products and processes to identify work and call out operational risk and compliance issues.
• Supports and supplies to the implementation of new risk and compliance policies practices and solutions to ensure multidisciplinary understanding and management of operational and compliance risks according to industry standard process.
• Captures information analyzes data trends and produces analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies.
• Assists in the formulation of stress test plans for a line of business or the enterprise including the evaluation of results and framing of contingency plans in partnership with key business partners.
• Supports processes that focus on improving strategies tools and methodologies to measure monitor and report on operational and compliance risks.
• Supplies in crossfunctional teams to identify assess aggregate and mitigate current and emerging risk.
• Supports and implements processes to measure monitor and report on operational and compliance risks.

What you have:

• Bachelors degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• 2 years confirmed experience in the financial services or insurance industry or technical fields directly related to the role.
• Knowledge of risk and/or compliance management principles tools and applicable systems
• Awareness and ability to apply risk and compliance laws regulations and regulatory expectations.
• Ability to work with internal and external partners in a highly collaborative environment.
• Critical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
• Experience identifying potential concerns and recommending effective solutions.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.

What sets you apart:

• Two or more years experience in fraud prevention and/or detection compliance risk legal or audit within the financial services or insurance industry or technical fields directly related to the role.
• Risk and Compliance industry certification or designations (CRISC CIAM CIMP CISA CFE or CAFS).
• Attention to detail timeliness communication and ability to connect with all levels.
• Ensures policies are uptodate and align with industry standard processes and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates policies to relevant partners.
• Experience in second or third line of defense function business risks and controls
• Experience independently developing clear and concise written analysis and presenting conclusions / findings to senior management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present and critical issues and solutions to management.
• Strong understanding of risk principles.
• Monitors and reports on the efficiency of initiatives.
• US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $63590 $121530.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
