- Directs activities of skilled workers/contractors engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment structures utility systems buildings grounds and infrastructure.
- Provides assistance and back up functions to facilities management.
- Is involved in budgeting of facility services.
- Responsible for day to day requirement of Facilities support/infrastructure.
- May propose recommendations for continuous improvement and capital investments.
- May perform studies and make recommendations to management on Facilities and/or manufacturing expenditures and improvements.
- Familiar with design requirements for projects including client provided specifications and all applicable codes and standards.
- Other duties may include:
- Parts and MRO procurement
- Safety inspections
- Waste manifest tracking
- Maintenance work order management
- Coordination of services as needed.
- Tasks training and implementing Environmental Health & Safety concerns.
- Maintain Safety program in regards to regulations and inspections. Will be CoChair on the Safety Committee.
- Maintain all aspects of safety training including administrating and record keeping.
Authority:
- To direct employees and contractors in facility related functions.
- Make facility related decisions based on policy and management direction.
Minimum Education Requirement:
Must have a minimum of an Associates degree in Engineering Applied Science or a related discipline. Prefer 4 year degree. 2 years experience in engineering maintenance and/or project management. Knowledge and some training in OSHA compliance.
