The Director of Compensation and Benefits is responsible for developing implementing and managing the organizations compensation and benefits strategies to attract motivate and retain top talent. This role ensures all programs are competitive equitable and aligned with the companys strategic objectives and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and lead the overall compensation and benefits strategy including salary structure incentive plans health and welfare programs retirement plans and other employee perks.
Conduct market analyses to evaluate and benchmark compensation and benefits packages ensuring competitiveness and internal equity.
Develop and manage executive compensation programs in coordination with the executive team and/or compensation committee.
Oversee annual compensation processes including merit increases bonus planning and salary reviews.
Lead the selection negotiation and relationship management of benefit vendors and brokers.
Ensure compliance with federal state and local compensation and benefits laws and regulations (e.g. FLSA ACA ERISA).
Partner with HR Business Partners and Finance to align compensation and benefits initiatives with budgeting workforce planning and talent strategies.
Provide guidance and training to HR and business leaders on compensation philosophy policies and decisionmaking frameworks.
Monitor trends best practices and regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.
Prepare and present reports dashboards and insights to senior leadership and the board as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Finance or related field (Masters degree or MBA preferred).
Professional certification (e.g. CCP CEBS SHRMSCP or SPHR) strongly preferred.
10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a compensation and benefits leadership role.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and HRIS platforms (ADP experience preferred).
Exceptional communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with sales and commission compensation structures and programs
