About this Role
Bitwise is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. This position will support one of our government clients in Linthicum MD.Responsibilities:
- Develop analytics pulling data from multiple cyber sources.
- Develop prototypes answering new questions as well as providing better answers to existing questions.
- Develop new ways to represent the data using data science methods and automate analytic processes using machine learning frameworks.
- Work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative integrated environment.
- Design develop test deploy and document big data cloud computing workflows.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Candidates without a current clearance will not be considered.
- Strong Java skills
- Customer GHOSTMACHINE analytic development
- Experience with Hadoop (MapReduce & Accumulo)
- Experience with software configuration using Gitlab Git Gitflo and Nexus
- Experience with Linux
- Bachelors degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Masters degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
- For individuals with indepth experience clearly related to the position an associates degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Computer Science (CS) degree or related field

Salary Range
This position is hourly. We estimate youll earn between $185000 and $207000 annually including our flex income depending upon your annual work hours.What to expect after applying
