Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Georges Beneficial C of E Primary School who are looking to second a teacher for the academic year 2025/2026. This temporary post would be ideal for someone looking to gain experience of working in a LA maintained Christian faith school located in a different context from their own.
Our pupils are engaging generous and deserving of an excellent practitioner they are a delight to teach and as a school we are working hard to raise aspirations and create wide experiences for our children improving their lifechances. We work closely with Portsmouth Local Authority and the diocese both of whom play a huge part in the schools work. Based between the Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays our school is in a great place for those who love the shops and the seaside.
We do have high proportions of Pupil Premium and EAL pupils and benefit from our own inhouse NeuroDiversity lead schoolled Additional Learning Provisions in both Year R and for Key Stage 2 and two additional regulation spaces for pupils to access. On top of this we have classes no bigger than 25 pupils. The St Georges leadership team are enthusiastic supportive and engaging recognising the importance of wellbeing humour compassion and socialisation in creating happy driven and loyal staff.
As part of this exciting opportunity we can offer some leadership experiences which would be ideal for someone looking to progress into middle leadership in the near future. For the right candidate we will also offer a pay point progression on the main scale.This secondment is for one year and the key stage is negotiable.
