Job Description
An electrical engineering company in Nelspruit is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for armored vehicles including power distribution lighting communication and control systems.
- Produce wiring diagrams harness layouts and electrical schematics using software such as AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN or Zuken.
- Select and integrate components such as batteries inverters relays and circuit protection devices.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Software and Systems Engineers to ensure seamless integration.
- Conduct fault diagnosis testing and validation of electrical systems.
- Support prototype builds production readiness and technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in electrical design (preferably in automotive defense or heavy vehicle sectors).
- Proficient in electrical CAD tools and knowledge of lowvoltage systems.
- Understanding of EMC wiring standards and vehicle safety systems.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
