Job Description
Currently reporting to the Chief Counsel UCSF Health the Principal Health Operations Counsel provides legal support to UCSF Healths compliance regulatory affairs risk management clinical affairs clinical operations and finance teams on complex and high impact healthcare regulatory analysis. Work may include advising and counseling on health care regulatory and policy issues including health care reimbursement federal health care program (Medicare MediCal) enrollment hospital licensing and accreditation federally qualified health centers clinical laboratories pharmacies controlled substances graduate medical education and more. The position also advises the Office of Legal Affairs and campus stakeholders on healthcare legal issues and participates as a member of the UCSF Office of Legal Affairs and the UC Health Affairs Privacy and Data Protection teams.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $171000 $345600 (annual rate). A typical qualified candidate can generally expect to earn between $225000 $290000.
