Job Summary
Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a Mechanic. In this role you will be responsible for the repairs on all Shambaugh & Son cars trucks and equipment. They will do this by maintaining a clean and orderly environment while exercising all safety rules at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
- Analyzing diagnostic test results.
- Replacing vehicle engines steering mechanisms transmissions and braking systems.
- Checking vehicle lighting systems.
- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
- Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
- Maintaining a parts inventory.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
- Report to garage manager when not knowledgeable of certain problems.
- Coordinate and work in harmony with all Shambaugh & Son personnel.
- Prompt and accurate completion of work orders in a legible manner.
- Check all vehicles and equipment in yard for past due service.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 23 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is a plus.
- Mechanically inclined with great problemsolving skills.
- Valid drivers license is required.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Good communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Regular and reliable attendance including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
