Role Summary:

The Commercial Loan Credit Analyst II is responsible for analyzing commercial credit requests and assisting with credit approval recommendations based on analysis and review. The analyst is involved with spreading financial statements tax returns and the calculation of cash flows and important financial ratios. The analyst will assist in the completion of loan committee packages and helping the loan officers obtain necessary documentation and provide due diligence to bring the loan request to the closing phase.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Responsible for analysis of personal and business financial information including spreads cash flow global cash flow and basic trend analysis on multiple asset types.
  2. Prepare Credit Approval Document with ability to complete 50% of the document including risk rating sensitivity collateral and financial sections.
  3. Underwrite renewals and extensions of existing credits.
  4. Ensure that all credit files include proper documentation including current financial statements agency reports etc. Prepare letter requests for update financial statements and tax returns from borrowers/guarantors and maintain system of record.
  5. Prepare letters of interest and loan commitment letters for lender review
  6. Ownership of portfolio monitoring activities including annual loan reviews and problem loan reports.
  7. Accurately process daily commercial credit transactions including but not limited to: (a) answering incoming phone calls (b) performing the initial credit analysis to determine if members credit requests satisfy policies and procedure guidelines and (c) preparing and processing all documentation for those credit transactions
  8. Prepare appraisal environmental title and loan documentation checklists.
  9. Provide support to credit union members and staff in explaining commercial credit policies and procedures.
  10. Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities.
  11. Attend credit union training sessions conferences or seminars as approved by awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.
  12. Maintain a professional work environment and work under restricted time constraints.
  13. Ability to apply state and federal laws regulations and Gesas member business lending policies and procedures.
  14. Demonstrate support of corporate values mission and vision. Perform job duties within these standards and in accordance with the guidelines of our bylaws and regulations.
  15. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism. Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge.
  16. Manage areas of responsibility perform duties and control risk in a safe manner.
  17. Display mutual respect trust and dignity acting in the best interest of the Credit Union. Lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times.

About You:

  1. Perform financial statement and tax return analysis on various sized entities including RMA or other industry research.
  2. Perform financial trend and risk rating analysis.
  3. Provide knowledgeable professional friendly service to all members.
  4. Maintain uptodate and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products services policies and procedures.
  5. Participate in and support a team environment.
  6. Display respect for diversity. Treat people with respect keep commitments and maintain a high level of integrity.
  7. Effectively communicate and receive ideas and information.
  8. Possess and display excellent customer service attributes.
  9. Communicate with supervisor regarding matters of account or lending concern.

What You Will Need:

  1. Fouryear college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school preferred but not required or applicable training or equivalent experience.
  2. Three to five years of similar or related commercial credit analysis experience preferred.
  3. Must be able to work under pressure and manage workflow to provide a high level of member service.
  4. Strong oral and written communication skills; strong analytical and research skills.
  5. Good interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  6. Proficiency with standard office equipment MS Office and Outlook software and commercial lending platforms.
  7. Some travel may be required to fulfill duties career development and/or responsibilities.
