Job Description
One of our clients is hiring an experienced Azure Business Intelligence Developer to join its growing data and analytics team. You will play a key role in delivering cloudnative BI and data warehousing solutions that enable agencywide datadriven decisionmaking.
This is a contract role ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in Azure Synapse Analytics ETL/ELT Power BI and enterprise data modeling. You will work in an Agile/Scrum environment collaborating with crossfunctional stakeholders to design build and maintain scalable and performant analytics systems.
Design and implement enterprise data warehouse and BI solutions using Azure technologies.
Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
Build and optimize SQL queries stored procedures and views for performance on large datasets.
Create and manage star schema models (fact/dimension tables) and maintain metadata documentation.
Deliver dashboards and interactive visualizations using Power BI Service.
Integrate structured and semistructured data from various sources (e.g. APIs flat files databases).
Ensure compliance with data governance data quality and lineage standards.
Collaborate with business units to translate requirements into data pipelines and reports.
Participate in Agile sprints peer reviews and CI/CD DevOps processes.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
3 years of experience in BI development and data warehousing.
Proficiency with:
Azure Synapse Analytics
Azure Data Factory
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Power BI Service
TSQL and DAX
Experience with:
Star schema modeling and metadata
Data integration from multiple sources
Diagnosing performance and ETL issues
Agile/Scrum and source control (e.g. Git Azure DevOps)
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certifications (e.g. DP203 SQL Server)
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or Data Science
Prior experience in public sector or government analytics projects
