You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSeeking a detailoriented and experienced Payroll Associate to support biweekly payroll operations for agency staff. This hybrid role involves both inoffice and remote work with a focus on accurate payroll processing data validation and reporting using ADP and Microsoft Excel.
Process and validate biweekly payroll using ADP.
Review time entries and authorize payroll adjustments.
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare payrollrelated tax filings and assist with yearend W2 processing.
Coordinate with HR on employee onboarding terminations benefits and pay rate changes.
Generate reports perform audits and maintain accurate records.
Handle ASRS reporting and compliance activities.
Respond to payrollrelated inquiries from employees.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of payroll processing experience.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUP).
Experience using ADP payroll systems.
Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Must be local to Phoenix AZ and available for inperson interview and hybrid work schedule.
Knowledge of Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) reporting.
Experience in a public agency or similar environment.
Local Candidate:
Must reside in Phoenix AZ or nearby.
Must be available for inperson interview and a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite 2 remote).
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
At least 2 years of payroll processing experience.
ADP payroll system experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Experience reconciling payroll handling adjustments and generating payroll reports.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage confidential data and maintain privacy.
Ability to analyze payroll issues and take corrective action.
Work Authorization:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must pass any required background checks (security required).
Availability:
Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer.
Must be able to work Monday Friday 7:30 AM 4:30 PM.
