Job Description
A hospital located near Eagle Pass TX is searching for a Travel Certified Surgical First Assistant to join their team for a 13weeks!
Pay Rate: $65.00/hour
The Travel Certified Surgical First Assistant Opportunity:
- 13week contract opportunity with extension potential
- Schedule: Monday Friday & rotating weekends
- Shift: 8hour shifts day shift
- Weekly direct deposits
The Travel Certified Surgical First Assistant Responsibilities:
- Works as a team member with various staff medical staff vendors and others in the perioperative area which includes surgical cases endoscopy and OB
- Under the direct supervision of a surgeon provides exposure hemostasis and suturing stapling and other technical skills to provide quality patient care in the operating room.
- The Certified Surgical First Assistant will ensure the room has been prepared with the anticipated instruments sutures supplies and equipment for each individual surgical procedure.
The Travel Certified Surgical First Assistant Qualifications:
- Must have active CST Certification
- Must have a Certification as First Assistant through the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologists affiliated with the Association of Surgical Technologists (LCCST)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- 12 years of CST experience is preferred; experience in Ortho and OB is highly desirable
