The Boeing Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer Web Application Developer (Experienced / Senior) to join our team in Fairfax VA. This dynamic team is focused on developing cuttingedge software solutions for SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) products for the Department of Defense Intelligence Community and allied products intercept Radio Frequency (RF) signals apply signal processing algorithms distribute the processed results and display it to operators. These systems are deployed to manned aircraft unmanned aircraft ships submarines and ground mobile platforms.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior Level Software Engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development particularly with expertise in React and TypeScript for frontend development and Java for backend services. This role requires a deep understanding of web application design and architecture user interface design and best practices in software development. This role will also contribute to collaborative crossfunctional teams where software development firmware development hardware design system integration system engineering and user testing all occur.

Position Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain highquality software applications for SIGINT products primarily using React and TypeScript.

• Contribute to backend services primarily developed in Java to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

• Work closely with integration and test teams systems engineers customer representatives and program leadership to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Apply best practices in web app design and architecture to create userfriendly and efficient applications.

• Solve complex problems with innovative solutions while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

• Participate in Agile development processes contributing to sprint planning daily standups and retrospectives.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.(Fairfax VA)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 3 years of experience in software development with a focus on frontend technologies (React TypeScript) and backend services (Java).

• 3 years of experience in web application design and architecture with a strong portfolio of successful projects.

• 3 years experience designing and developing software for complex systems (i.e. Distributed Systems MultiThreaded and MultiProcess Applications Clientserver Architectures) and a solid foundation in computer science and software development

• Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with crossfunctional teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Bachelors Masters or Doctorate from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering Software Engineering Computer Science or another related field.

• Current Top Secret / SCI Clearance

• Solid understanding of user interface design principles and best practices.

• Experience in SIGINT or defenserelated software development

• Familiarity with cloud technologies and microservices architecture (Docker Kubernetes etc.).

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Jira Bitbucket Confluence Jenkins Artifactory etc.).

• Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Typical Education/Experience
Experienced (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master3 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 years related work experience Master7 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard
