Job Description

Postdoctoral Position in CRISPRBased Genome Editing and Neurodegenerative Disorders

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Miroslaw Janowski at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. This 2year project funded by the Maryland Stem Cell Research Foundation focuses on augmenting the function of glial progenitors and is at the intersection of CRISPRbased genome editing stem cells and neurodegenerative disorders.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CRISPRbased genome editing and molecular biology demonstrated by first authorship in a peerreviewed publication. While expertise in nucleic acid sequencing biostatistics cell culture and animal handling is advantageous it is not mandatory.

The laboratory operates in a new stateoftheart HSF III building hosting many interdisciplinary research teams including the Institute of Genome Sciences. The salary will be aligned with NIH and UMB pay scales.
