Job Description
Responsibilities
Duties include full scope of practice as a pediatrician providing care to patients within the Northern zone and participating in call.
The physician will be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Women and Childrens Services for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Our department is full service Pediatrics and does require neonatal resuscitation and stabilization for transport which at times can happen quickly and other times could be up to 24 hours. It also covers consults in the ER including attending trauma with pediatric patients. Pediatric primary care is primarily done by family physicians in the community.
Qualifications :
- eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association(CMPA)
