Job Description
Our client Verde Canyon Railroad a premier heritage rail experience in Arizonas red rock country is seeking a handson Controller to lead and optimize their financial operations and work in tandem with their freight partner Clarkdale Arizona Railroad from their Clarkdale AZ location.Verde Canyon Railroad offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic tourismdriven business. Responsibilities
This role is ideal for a detaildriven professional who thrives on both strategic oversight and daytoday execution. Youll manage all core accounting functions including monthend and yearend close budgeting payroll and financial reporting while also serving as the primary liaison with banks credit card processors benefit providers and CPA firms.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CPA preferred) with at least five (5) years of progressive accounting experience including leadership roles. You should have a solid understanding of GAAP be proficient in accounting software and business operations systems and bring a techsavvy processimprovement mindset. Strong analytical organizational and communication skills are essential along with experience working directly with external financial partners.
