Unity Lab Services provides a single source for integrated lab service support and supply management. Our customized service offerings and worldclass service experts have the flexibility and experience to uniquely address our customers laboratorys business needs.

What will you do

In this position the Sr. Site Specialist will be part a small team under the direction of the site lead and/or supervisor enabling the team to consistently deliver high levels of customer service in support of our contractual obligations. The team will be responsible for overseeing service offerings including but not limited to: material handling chemical tracking glass wash media/reagent preparation and cell culture support operations incubator refrigerator freezer and Bio Safety cabinet monthly and routine cleanings.

• Effectively be a contributor of diverse crossfunctional team of onsite lab specialists. May assist with complete employee lifecycle management: new hire selection identification of training needs and solutions coordinating development training and employee performance evaluations.
• Deliver on committed contractual scope of work. Assist with tracking business metrics.
• Act as liaison between customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific; Coordinate onsite vendor escorting and customer visits as the site subjectmatter expert and act as a resource to identify savings and opportunities.
• Implement SOPs conduct site audits and assist with completion of annual physical inventory.
• Drive process improvement culture by supporting Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives.
• Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations professionally and positively.
• Be involved with and support safety programs such as hazard identification conduct inspections and incident reporting/investigations as required.
• May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management
• Coordinate with Supply Chain department
• Interact and coordinate between various departments.

How will you get here

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate degree in a related field preferred or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills. Military Service/Training in lieu of a degree may also be considered.

Experience

2 years of progressive proven experience required

Experience working in Good x Practice (GxP) environment

Knowledge Skills Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills. This includes maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions and upholding Thermo Fisher Scientifics values including confidentiality.
• Demonstrates computer proficiency and possesses intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software.
• Possesses strong analytical abilities to problem solve make timely decisions rebalance staff workloads and coordinate multiple overlapping priorities while functioning in a fastpaced work environment

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Requires the ability to lift push and pull 3040 pounds consistently; lift 50 pounds occasionally including operation and use of pushcarts pallet jacks forklifts etc.

Regularly required to stand or walk for prolonged periods.

Work areas may include spaces where chemicalbased allergens are in use (penicillin tetracycline etc.). Depending on the area of the building personal protective equipment may be required.

Ability to work overtime as needed.
