Planning Intern

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Planning and Sustainability Intern to be based in San Francisco California.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2025.

JOB SUMMARY:

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Compile data and conduct research in support of project initiatives.
• Prepare reports presentations graphics and maps.
• Collaborate with team and client stakeholders.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Environment Planning Sustainability Transportation Public Policy or related area of study.
• Must have completed 1 year of study.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must be highly motivated curious a have a team player attitude
• Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office including MS Word Excel and PowerPoint
• Analytical skills to interpret research data for reports and apply statistical techniques in practical situations
• Oral communication and interpersonal skills to explain planning concepts clearly to clients and the public
• Presentation skills to synthesize data and research into compelling reports and graphics
• Excellent writing skills for documenting research analysis and recommendations in project memos briefings and reports consistent with accepted guides such as Chicago Manual of Style MLA or APA
• Strong attention to detail and habits of quality review/checking
