CMHA is looking to hire a Clinician for our MultiDimensional Family Therapy Transitional Age Youth (MDFTTAY) program. This position will be located at 255 Bank Street Waterbury. Monday Friday 9:00am 5:00pm. Compensation Range:The annual salary range for this position starts at$57000 Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience education and skills but also by maintaining internal pay equity. Position Summary:Serve as a key member of the MultiDimensional Family TherapyTransitional Age Youth (MDFT TAY) treatment team which will provide treatment for youth/young adults and parents with substance abuse and cooccurring disorders. Services include substance abuse/mental health screening brief counseling MultiDisciplinary Family Therapy Transitional Age Youth(MDFTTAY) Medication Assisted Treatment case management and recovery support services substance abuse/tobacco cessation and prevention groups. Provide in home or office based MDFTTAY in coordination with other agency and community services and documentation of services required by program policies and funding sources. - Must attend and pass all requirements to become and/or maintain an MDFTTAY certified therapist.
- Performs comprehensive intake assessment that results in diagnosis and recommendations for psychiatric and substance abuse treatment for youth and their families and assists with appropriate referrals and linkage to others services if appropriate.
- Develops treatment goals and objectives with youth and families. Follows MDFTTAY Model and appropriate treatment modalities (individual and family work) that promote MDFTTAY fidelity and client/family recovery.
- Provide substance abuse/tobacco use prevention and cessation counseling.
- Provide MDFTTAY services in office home or host setting to meet the needs of families served. Adhering to clinical documentation requirements and data collection/entry related to MDFTTAY fidelity monitoring and project evaluation efforts.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other community agencies and organizations in order to provide comprehensive and effective treatment services for clients (i.e. schools courts hospitals after school programs DCF probation detox/ residential substance abuse treatment facilities etc.).
- Work with youth/recovery coordinators who provide case management and recovery supports.
- Performs urine and breath toxicology screens.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements: - LMSW LPCA MFTA required.
- Must be eligible for LCSW LPC and LMFT.
- Valid Drivers License and insurance and access to personal vehicle during business hours.
- Must attend and pass all requirements to become and/or maintain an MDFTTAY certified therapist.
- Successful experience in the provision of substance abuse treatment and cooccurring treatment services with children adolescents adults and/or families preferably a minimum of two years.
- Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
- Experience in or the ability to learn how to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system which includes appointment scheduling authorization tracking assessments treatment plans progress notes and discharge summaries.
