POSITION SUMMARY

TheSystem Solution Architect Thermal Management is a crucial member of the Global Strategic Accounts (GSA) Thermal Team during the early engagement phases of customer programs with large industry leading customers. The position requires competencies in data center design end to end Thermal solutions (liquid cooling chillers DX and CW AHU custom thermal solutions and thermal controls) as well as customer and presentation skills to deliver custom solutions to meet demanding customer business challenges. The role will be developing solutions and reference designs for new and evolving Thermal technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Customers and Thermal Technical teams with technical assistance and support for technical documentation and customerfacing presentations and engagements including leading customer communications.
  • Develop design options for complete Thermal architectures depending on the customer requirements and market needs. Designs include liquid cooling solutions through the heat rejection.
  • Produce technical proposals design documentation and project proposals to support the design process and delivery to customers.
  • Must be an active Engineer in designing and architecting solutionbased projects that include internal design while incorporating thirdparty components to resolve endcustomer solutions and products.
  • Lead and participate in customer presentations and project delivery including oversight and contribution to costing schedule site logistics and customer pricing.
  • Creation control review and approval of technical solutions and customer proposals
  • Interact with customers to transition thoughts and concepts into solutions and deliver that interaction through documented specifications and presentations. Provide feedback to the Thermal Line of Business on product needs that include both improvements/modifications to existing products and new product solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of work experience in data center design and applications.
  • 3 years of experience with the creation control review and approval of technical solutions and customer proposals related to data center design.
  • Must be proficient in providing technical support for solutions in the IT and Telecom industries.
  • Strong organizational time management and customer interaction skills.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of IT and Telecom industry endapplications to successfully deploy the support infrastructure required.
  • Must possess solutionbased thinking that will incorporate mechanical thermal electrical and other engineering competencies to an endcustomer deployment.
  • Practical experience with microgrids is considered beneficial.

TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • Approximately 25% to 50% of travel per year including International for customer interaction as well as for internal team collaboration.

The anticipated On Target Earnings range for this role in the CA $188000k to $251000 ranges for other geographic localities may roles are eligible for additional rewards including merit increases annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization depending on the terms of the plan and the employees On Target Earnings shared include Base 80% and Sales Incentive 20% The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program including medical dental vision disability PTO holiday pay and 401k.
