Associate Principal HMMSThe Hartford School District (HSD) enjoys a strong reputation for quality programs and great employee relationships in the Vermont and New Hampshire region. The HSD exists as a singletown district with one school board three elementary schools a middle school a high school and a Career and Technology Center. In addition the HSD contains three separate collaborative programs: the Regional Alternative Program the Hartford Autism Regional Program and the Regional Resource Center. The HSD has an annual school budget of roughly $47 million and serves approximately 1850 students. The HSD is committed to supporting the diversity equity and inclusivity for all employees and Memorial Middle School is a grade 68 school of approximately 300 students dedicated to the development of the whole child. As a learning community we are committed to and enthusiastic about empowering middle school learners to play an active role in their education and their associate principal will need to thoroughly enjoy and be committed to middlelevel learners and be able to prioritize relationships with students families and staff. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with all stakeholders to create a supportive and authentic learning environment for our learners. The strong applicant will have a thorough understanding and deep experience with best practices in equity trauma and instruction. This individual will also need to work to cultivate a continuous learning community that uses data to reflect and grow. The new administrator will work to hold both students and staff accountable to clear and consistently high expectations. The successful applicant will be creative committed to collaborative leadership accessible openminded and excited about the unique opportunities that our middle school associate principal will collaborate closely with two other administrators (principal and dean of students) in the building and will have strengths in systems thinking and a high level of digital literacy.

- DistrictLevel Coordination: Coordinate with district leadership on curriculum alignment and instructional initiatives to ensure consistency and coherence across grade levels.
- Professional Development Planning: Contribute to the design and execution of professional learning sessions that address schoolwide goals and teacher growth.
- Digital System Maintenance: Support the upkeep and functionality of digital platforms and tools critical to instructional delivery and school operations (may include: staff resource website weekly staff communications).
- Administrative Collaboration: Work closely with the administrative team to align strategic goals with daily operations and instructional support.
- Instructional Coaching Support: Collaborate with instructional coaches to provide targeted support for teacher development and student achievement.
