FullTime House Manager/Cook for a Warm & Wonderful Older Couple
Location: Cambridge MA
LiveOut MondayFriday 9:30 AM 7:00 PM
Salary: $35$40/hour DOE Negotiable for the right candidate LongTerm Role Benefits: 2 weeks PTO Paid Holidays
IMPORTANT NOTE: The principals are away seasonally from December through March/April in the Dominican Republic and will not require help during this time. They are willing to pay a portion of the salary (TBD based on the right candidates needs) while they are away to retain their Household Manager/Cook and keep them engaged so they can return to the job when the principals return in the early Spring.

A Note About the Family:
- Adults: 2 A thoughtful active and appreciative husband and his wife who lives with Alzheimers and is supported byday and night caregivers. While direct caregiving is not required you will play an important role in coordinating with the caregivers (i.e. meal times) and maintaining a calm nurturing environment. A gentle compassionate and understanding nature is essential.
Two grown children (not living at home)
One sweet dog (light walking when needed)
Existing caregiving team manages all medical/personal careno direct care required but a warm respectful presence is key.
About the Role:
The House Manager/Cook will be responsible for the smooth daytoday functioning of the home from preparing meals to light housekeeping to running errands and ensuring everything is in its right place. The couple is kind and respectful and theyre looking for someone who brings that same energy into their home.
The Ideal Candidate Is:
Warm patient and compassionate
Reliable and trustworthy with excellent references discreet and dependable
Organized and proactive always one step aheadand happy to wear many hats as needed
Flexible and adaptable able to pivot and take on different tasks as needed
An excellent communicator who speaks fluent English
Comfortable around dogs and happy to help with walks if needed
A safe and confident driver with a valid drivers license
Daily Responsibilities Include:
Prepare and cleanup simple clean healthy meals daily
Grocery shopping and keeping the kitchen stocked and organized
Running errands as needed (dry cleaning pharmacy runs etc.)
Light housekeepingand home organization (deep cleaning is handled by a cleaner)
Laundry assistance when needed
Walking the family dog as needed
Collaborating with the caregivers and helping coordinate meals or routines for the principals wife
Being the goto person for keeping the household running smoothly
Details:
Work Hours: MondayFriday 9:30 AM7:00 PM
Driving: Required (for errands and possible appointments with the principal)
Language: Must speak and understand English very well
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role
References: At least 2 strong professional references
Background Check: Required upon contingent offer of hire
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $35$40/hour DOE (negotiable for the right person)
