Team Lead, 3D Software Engineering

Vention is seeking a passionate and talented software development team lead to join our Manufacturing Automation Platform organization.

In this role you will lead a team of worldclass software developers building Ventions premiere browserbased computeraided design tool MachineBuilder. As a cornerstone of Ventions platform MachineBuilder offers a draganddrop 3D digital twin that can take a design from idea to finalized machine in minutes.

As a nanager you will leverage and grow both your technical and leadership skills: you will become a master of every aspect of Ventions technology stack guiding your team through technical planning and decisionmaking; you will interact with diverse stakeholders on priorities roadmaps and execution; and you will coach and mentor your team in their career growth.

More specifically you will:

• Manage a team of 5 10 direct reports. You will help them grow their careers on a technical and interpersonal level.
• Organize your teams work: quarterly planning agile sprint planning and ceremony facilitation code and feature reviews automated tests deployment and maintenance.
• Contribute across the breadth of Ventions fullstack development environment (Javascript/Typescript React).
• Leverage your experience with 3D graphics to enhance design creation tools & workflows.
• Partner with Product Managers to define strategic product roadmaps and priorities.
• Participate in the design of the user experience and our graphical user interfaces.
• Maintain and improve the design & architecture of Machine Builders codebase.

Qualifications :

• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ownership over full endtoend solutions
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a software engineering role with 5 years experience in a technical leadership position.
• Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field (engineering software computer science)
• Experience with agile software development: sprint planning backlog reviews and continuous delivery of customer value. 
• Strong familiarity with fullstack programming languages and frameworks including Javascript (React TypeScript NodeJS) and Python. C is an asset.
• Understanding of distributed system design and the related technical challenges.
• Strong linear algebra with good exposure to computer graphics.
• Experience with 3D libraries ( Unity Unreal WebGL/OpenGL) is a definite plus.
• Experience programming 3D CAD/contentcreation tools is a strong plus.
• Love of new challenges and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
