We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our dynamic Technology Operations team. As a team member you will play a pivotal role in working with our business and helping to support and provide engineering services to the digital platform. You will work alongside a group of passionate professionals who are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Your team is part of the Technology division a team that are truly collaborative and passionate and work closely together to deliver outcomes that positively transform the way our customers use our services.
About the Opportunity
The Java Developer will assist in developing maintaining and enhancing migrated mainframe code and related integrations. This role requires a foundational understanding of Java programming and a willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will be eager to gain experience in procedural Java and Spring Boot Java as well as complex mainframe systems.
- Software Development: : Assist in the design development and maintenance of software solutions including migrated mainframe code and integrations written in procedural Java and utilizing AWS Services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers QA operations and business stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Learning and Development: Actively participate in training mentorship and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Code Quality: Contribute to the delivery of highquality reliable and maintainable code through adherence to coding standards and best practices.
About you
The skills and experience required in the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of Java programming and related technologies.
- Willingness to Learn: Strong desire to learn and develop skills in procedural Java
- ProblemSolving: Ability to identify and solve problems effectively with guidance from senior team members.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
