Job Description
The Portfolio and Governance Lead will provide support to the strategic direction of our Tech R&D projects within our companys animal health division. This role involves overseeing a diverse project portfolio that generates revenue in the hundreds million while ensuring alignment with organizational strategics priorities. The role will assist and participate in the decisionmaking processes related to research and development investments actively participating in strategic meetings to prioritize initiatives and implement effective governance practices.
This position requires a deep understanding of our structure and opportunities and the ability to navigate industry uncertainties identifying opportunities for information gathering for better decision making and standardizing hypotheses and will play a critical role in providing insights that influence the allocation of R&D funding and support the successful launch of products thereby driving the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversight of project development governance.
Manage Executive Steering Committee meetings planning sessions etc.
Overall responsibility to define tracking and monitoring methods over project milestones.
Consolidating bottom up projects reporting into high level dashboards
Responsible for formulating the projects / portfolio high level plan and roadmap in consultation with management and other parties concerned
Defining portfolio visibility and communication methods
Set KPI mechanism define KPIs cascade Top Down and consolidate Bottom Up
Overall responsibility to set and drive PM knowledgebase documentation and training
Coordinate and manage the implementation of required supporting technologies / applications / managing systems for highlevel systems.
Continuous improvement of methods and organization
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Science or related areas of study
7 years of experience in Project/Portfolio management in tech related industry and/or job field.
Experience managing project/portfolio on a global scale.
Working knowledge of several project management methodologies including waterfall and agile that function on a variety of internal / external projects
Experience in system changes processes implementation
Experience in establish and foundation of infrastructure and methods in large scale organizations
Ability to motivate and influence people who are not directly managed
Communication and interpersonal skills
Portfolio Management Expertise & Risk Management Analytics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with English fluency

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
