Job Description

Parking Lot Monitor @ Police Dept./ Child Safety

Purpose:

Work under minimal supervision to assist in providing student safety and to patrol/monitor high school campus parking lots.

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of Manual Trades Security Personnel.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Tools/Equipment Used: Handheld traffic signs traffic cones reflective safety attire security equipment and other security equipment fire extinguisher and standard office equipment including computer and peripherals

Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing

Motion: Strenuous walking and climbing; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; frequent driving

Lifting: Moderate lifting and carrying (15 44 pounds)

Environment: Work inside and outside (moderate exposure to sun heat cold and inclement weather). Frequent districtwide travel

Other: Specific hearing and visual requirements. May be subject to adverse and hazardous working conditions. Ability to control sudden violent or extreme physical acts of others and exhibit rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously.

Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; prolonged hours; on call 24 hours a day.

Pay Grade: MS01

Salary Range Min. $12735 Mid. $15209 Max. $17680(Based on previous experience)

Salary schedule with 3% of midpoint increase approved by the Board. Salary schedule soon to be released.
